I love listening to Zig Ziglar. The way he communicated will never be duplicated. I love how he spoke of the importance of leaving a legacy. This applies to the workplace as well.

Here are 3 ways each of us (as employees) can work to leave a positive legacy for others to follow, despite our work environment or who we work for.

• Make the choice to be giving without receiving anything in return

Those who leave memorable legacies at work are those who choose to give first, and receive second.

• Choose to see the best in people and challenge them to do better

Have you ever worked with someone who always saw the best in you and challenged you to be even better? You’ll never forget that special person…will you?

• Be a TEAM player

When I think of the most memorable people I’ve had the privilege of working with, they were always part of a team. The weakest organizations are those filled with people who are focused only on their own goals & passion. Zig Ziglar once said, “You can have everything in life you want if you’ll just help enough other people get what they want”.

Choose to be the person who embraces what TEAM actually means…Together, Everyone Achieves More. Choose to find ways to use your gifts and talents for the benefit of everyone.
