Lukewarm

Really…what kind of word is that? Where in life do, we want something to be “lukewarm”? Do we like a jacuzzi lukewarm? How about our morning coffee? What about a shower? When we crawl into the covers at night do, we want the bed to be lukewarm?

Even the book of Revelation speaks of the perils of lukewarm.

“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!”

Andy Andrews teaches that for people to change behavior two things must be present.

  1. They must know what’s in it for them.
  2. They must have proof beyond a reasonable doubt that the change will indeed produce a desired result.

The “what’s in it for them” must be compelling enough for them to be willing to go through the pain of changing a behavior, or creating a new one, and committing to persist through to the desired result.

Looking at your business in 2021, where was your talent and your commitment not connected?

If you struggled to get the results you wanted, it’s probably not your talent or ability that held you back, but your level of commitment.

Thank you Matt Clark.
