I love the book of Proverbs. It contrasts the lives of the ‘foolish’ with the lives of the ‘wise’. In Proverbs 10:21-30 we see the writer contrast the life of the ‘righteous’ with the life of the ‘wicked’
‘The lips of the righteous nourish many’ (v.21a). Righteousness is about our relationships – it is about bringing blessing to others. We cannot be righteous in isolation.
Who could you ‘nourish’ (feed, guide, encourage) with your words today?
Remember, we are made righteous because of the relationship we have through Christ. It is not something that can be earned. ‘This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe’ (Romans 3:22).
