Living Life by Design

Upon falling overboard a man thought, ‘I will trust in God to rescue me.’ Later a boat came by and offered to help him. The man said, ‘No, I’m trusting in God to save me.’ Another boat came by and the man said again, ‘No thank you! God will rescue me.’ Then a helicopter flew over him offering help. The man again said, ‘I’ve put my trust in the Lord to save me.’ Shortly after the man drowned. Upon entering heaven, the man asked God, ‘I trusted in you. Why didn’t you save me?’ God replied, ‘Well, I sent you two boats and a helicopter!’

All the promises in Gods Word were given to us as an inheritance. Each and every promise of God belong to you. As a child of God, this is your birthright…your inheritance in Christ.

Why have you not taken full possession of these promises And FULLY enjoy the blessing of all these things in your life. God is telling us, in effect: ‘Don’t you realise I have given all of this to you? What are you waiting for?’

As Israel received the promised land as a gift from the Lord (Joshua 18:3), so you and I have received, in Jesus, every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3). The question is, ‘How long will you wait before you begin to take possession’ of these gifts? (Joshua 18:3).

Remember, He’s already sent you two boats and a helicopter! What are you waiting for…
