Throughout history we’ve witnessed times of great revival. Typically those revivals were brought about by an individual of great faith. However, this was not the case in Rome, where the apostle Paul longed to visit.
The Christian community in Rome had come about, not by any great evangelistic enterprise, but by the presence of Christians in the workplace discharging their ordinary secular duties. This reminds each of us with secular jobs that we can have as big an impact for Christ as any full-time evangelist.
The question is, will we?

It can be so easy to allow our fears and worries about what other people will think about us to stop us from speaking about Jesus. Yet Paul writes in Romans 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” He knows also the extraordinary power of the gospel to transform lives.
Each of us have a unique opportunity to make a true and lasting difference in the lives of those around us. Again, the question is, will we.
