Living Life by Design

I watched the movie, Father Stu last night. It was quite moving, to say the least. This young man discovered that everything we go through in life (good and bad) is designed to draw us closer to Christ. There’s nothing random and there’s no such thing as luck. There are only opportunities. How we choose to use those opportunities points to where our focus is.

When we begin to live in light of eternity, our focus changes from “How much pleasure am I getting out of life?” to “How much pleasure is God getting out of my life?”

Extreme Joy.

Gut Wrenching Sorrow.

Apathy.

Mediocrity.

Ambivalence.

Activism.

Pain.

Pleasure.

All to bring us closer to Christ and to grant us opportunity to live in the light of eternity.
