Children have a ‘simple purity’ about their lives. They have an uncomplicated approach to life and relationships. They want to have fun and enjoy themselves as much as possible. They are carefree and without concern. Life is just not that complicated to children.
As adults, simply we make life too complicated. We can make our faith way too complicated too. We are called to ‘simplicity that is in Christ’ (v.3, KJV). Simplicity does not mean being simplistic. It means having a ‘wholehearted and sincere and pure devotion to Christ’ (v.3, AMP). Just as children devote themselves to living in the moment, and having fun.
God created us for an intimate relationship with him. For a child, when their little lives became difficult, they need only crawl up into their fathers lap, look into his eyes and find unshakable…

Love! Trust! Belief! Acceptance! Comfort! Peace!
God longs for us to crawl up into His lap, look Him in the eyes and find everything we’ve been looking for…
