Ever since the day that Christ came into my heart, all my unexplained anger & hate that lived inside me vanished. I was changed from the inside out. I had a feeling of peace and calm that I’d never experienced before. Later in life I was given the moniker of, “Mr. Rogers.” Some called me this out of love, while others, to belittle me.

Today, the term ‘do-gooder’ has become pejorative; it is used as an insult. It’s a shame that doing good should be seen in this way. We have so many examples throughout history of people doing good. Our greatest example being Jesus, who ‘went around *doing good’ (*Acts 10:38).
John Wesley gave us a beautiful lesson on doing good. He said, ‘Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.’
I love the words from Titus 3:1-2, Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander on one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle towards everyone.” I have no doubt that Fred Rogers loved this verse as well.
Today, strive to be ‘insulted’ as a “do-gooder.” The cardigan and laced shoes are optional…
