Lord, another year has come, and almost gone. We’ve celebrated…

*Epic family vacations together
*Barbecues by the pool
*Band performances & Volleyball matches
*Kindergarten & First Grade caroling
*A Guys-only road trip & a family girls trip
*Celebrations of lives well lived, and lives just beginning
*Sickness, disease, and surgeries
*Protecting our country and the freedoms we enjoy
*A new drivers license, and first car
*Choosing a college and choosing a career path
*Moving back to California & family
All of these milestones have one thing in common. That one thing is family. Through the good, the challenging and everything in between, we’ve done it all together, as a family.
I shouldn’t even be here Lord. Your intervention in my life so many years ago made all this possible. Thank you seems so hollow and lacking for the incredible gift you’ve given me, Lord. A life well lived.
On Christmas, we celebrate the birth of your son through whom we can be part of your family.
With out of control inflation, a looming recession, world unrest, sickness, disease, surgery, loss, heartache, and anything else this world decides to throw at me, I have one stable constant that I can hold onto…family.
Thank you for being my Lord. Thank you for giving me family, and a life well lived.
Amen.
