My name is Brett Stacy, and my passion for serving veterans and military families runs deep—not only as a grateful American, but as a proud father. My son, Bradley Stacy, chose to dedicate his life to protecting our great nation through his service in the United States Army. Watching his commitment and sacrifice gave me a front-row seat to the courage, discipline, and selflessness that define our nation’s heroes. But it also opened my eyes to the struggles many service members and their families face once the uniform comes off—especially when it comes to achieving the dream of homeownership. Too often, a simple “thank you for your service” feels empty when those who’ve sacrificed so much are left navigating financial hurdles alone. That is why I founded Operation T.A.G. (Tangible Act of Gratitude) and our flagship program, the Hometown Hero Credit™. This initiative was built on a simple belief: gratitude should be more than words—it should be action. Through Hometown Hero Credit™, we provide military families with a 2% credit, up to $21,000, to help them purchase or refinance a home. It’s not charity, and it’s not a gimmick—it’s our way of giving back to those who’ve given us so much. This blog is my way of sharing stories, resources, and inspiration, while shining a spotlight on the heroes who wear (and have worn) the uniform. My hope is to spark a nationwide movement—one where every military family knows that their service is honored not just in words, but in real, tangible support.
