A two minute read for busy professionals to start their day (Monday-Friday) with something positive, inspiring and always thought provoking.

I can still vividly remember the evening I surrendered my life to Christ. I had been in the presence of God. My face was literally glowing and I was walking two or three inches off the ground. The joy, love and acceptance I felt was overwhelming. I still don’t have the words to adequately convey how I felt.Have there been specific times in your life where you experienced the presence of, or an extraordinary closeness to Jesus? Many refer to this as a ‘Mountain Top Experience.’
In Luke 9:28-36, Jesus takes Peter, John and James up a mountain to pray. As Jesus is praying, they see him transfigured before their eyes. They see his glory (v.32). Peter says to Jesus, ‘Master, this is a great moment!’ (v.33, MSG). They become ‘deeply aware of God’ (v.34, MSG). They hear God say, ‘This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him’ (v.35).
Like the disciples, who ‘came down from the mountain’, there comes a time when each of us must descend (v.37). Mountaintops inspire us, but the valleys mature us.
Today, if you are walking in ‘the valley’, take heart. God wants you to experience his presence and closeness. Spend some time in prayer and reading His Word.mIt’s only a short walk to the ‘mountain top’. He’s waiting there for you…
Have a blessed (and reflective) Good Friday, and Easter weekend.
